By upgrading outdated competitor equipment with a modern Powrmatic HEMSLx unit, the project provided an energy-efficient, reliable, and future-proof heating solution that ensures stable performance throughout the critical supermarket refrigeration areas.Project SolutionGasmech Services Ltd carried out the works with Powrmatic’s advanced heating technology. The original competitor heat exchanger modules and AHU panels were stripped out and craned from the roof. A brand-new Powrmatic HEMSLx unit was then craned into position, with custom-manufactured AHU panels and a top hat installed to ensure full compatibility. Gas pipework was carefully modified to suit the new unit, while new supply and control wiring were connected into the site’s Trend BMS system for enhanced operational control. Gaps around the new heat exchanger modules were sealed using fabricated metal panels, and an inlet filter guard was fitted to ensure reliable airflow protection. The upgraded system now delivers an AHU supply fan volume of 11.20 m³/s, providing consistent and efficient heating throughout the supermarket.Project ResultThe supermarket AHU replacement has transformed the site’s heating performance. The new Powrmatic HEMSLx unit delivers consistent 16-degree conditions around the refrigeration cases, reducing energy consumption while ensuring product protection. With lower running costs, improved efficiency, and seamless integration into the Trend BMS system, the facility now benefits from a sustainable and future-proof heating solution.
