Project BackgroundFollowing a client request for a quotation, Gasmech Services Ltd. conducted a site survey of an existing 1200L Manchester hot water calorifier that had developed multiple faults and was proving unreliable in operation. Based on the findings, a comprehensive cost plan was prepared and successfully aligned with the client’s requirements.Project SolutionDuring the initial survey to identify a suitable replacement for the existing 1200L calorifier, Gasmech Services Ltd.determined that historical site modifications had significantly reduced the hot water demand. As a result, a 500L Advecostainless steel calorifier, incorporating a single primary coil and backup immersion heater, was specified as a more appropriate and efficient solution.The existing calorifier, along with redundant plant equipment, was carefully removed to optimise plant room space. The new system was then installed, including the calorifier unit, necessary pipework modifications, and a hot water return pump to ensure consistent circulation. Following installation, the system was commissioned and brought into service. Final works included the application of foil-faced mineral wool insulation and clear identification markings to ensure compliance and ease of maintenance.Project ResultThe client has gained peace of mind through the installation of a significantly more reliable hot water solution delivered by Gasmech Services Ltd.. In addition to improved system performance, the new Adveco calorifier has contributed to reduced energy consumption and lower operating costs. As a result, site users now benefit from a consistent and dependable hot water supply, ensuring overall satisfaction and minimal disruption to daily operations.
